Vishal Krishna Reddy, also known as Vishal, is an Indian film actor and producer who works in the Tamil film industry. He was born on August 29, 1977. Vishal studied Visual Communications at Loyola College in Chennai, the younger son of film producer G. K. Reddy. He is best known for his roles in action movies, but he also produces films through his company, Vishal Film Factory. Vishal began his career in the film industry as Arjun's assistant director. He then went on to appear in the commercially successful action films Sandakozhi, Thimiru, Thaamirabharani, and Malaikottai before becoming an actor and playing his first lead role in the romantic thriller Chellamae (2004). Following a string of box office failures, Vishal decided to start his own production company and has since produced and worked on popular films such as Pandiya Naadu (2013), Naan Sigappu Manithan (2014), and Poojai (2014). After leading a campaign against the previous committee, Vishal was elected as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam in October 2015. He was kicked out of the Tamil Film Producers' Council (TFPC) for making anti-council remarks. In April 2017, he was elected President of the Tamil Film Producers Council after winning the election.
